Well, since theres not much else to do during the summer, here is this topic.
I'll make current ideas into whatever and probably do good suggestions ( yes, good ones not something thought up in half a second)
-Implemented stuff- ( Selection added, Use numbers indicated below for selection )
2-Charge attack
3-Aerial Attack
4-Combo
5-Walk Attack
6-Parry
7-Spin-Sweep attack
8-Throw Attack
9-Fake-Out
10-Jump Attack
Stick Online Attack stuff ver 0.04 (http://www.truploader.com/view/981132)
Starting with the charge attack, I'll probably put up more stuff.
I'm not using the stick online base sprite because, why should I? If I used flash flat on, making this is much easier and less tedious, not like anything will be added as sprite to sprite format unless it is absolutely perfect.
Hey i rmb you! Good work! I cant w8 to see the stuff made here.
I think the Flash BBcode is disabled. If not, I don't know.

I just tested the flash bbcode...it is indeed disabled. The method you are using now by posting a link is how your going to have to do so.
I would be all for charge attacks in v3...a simple concept with a large positive and intuitive impact. I'm sure it would be largely admired.
Aerial Attack + combo added
My thoughts on combo:
combo would probably be powerful so each new swing would take more stamina than the last, until it caps out at like 2x stamina of original usage.
(reason why theres the stamina bar on the corner)
Aerial Attack + combo (http://www.truploader.com/view/986112)
Hmm link doesn't work for me now.
Glad to see you back, Ceroblitz. Can't wait to see the rest of the suggestions.
For my suggestions, I'll stick with the GS because that's what you started out with.
-Secondary Weapon Attack- D key, like the kick without a weapon. With the GS, it could be a thrust that has considerably longer range than a normal swing, but does less damage and only uses half the stamina of a normal swing.
-Parry- W key. This could act as a weaker form of countering with a weapon. With the GS, you would deflect an attack with a circular motion of your sword, while taking a step back. This means that within the range of your parrying(to your front), you would take no damage from an attack, as well as dealing a small amount of damage to your opponent if the parrying hits him. But the cooldown for parrying is considerably long(30-45 seconds), the range of the parry is small, the animation is quick, and it requires slightly more stamina than a normal attack.
-Dash Attack- D key while walking. This attack would make you dash at about 2.4 times your current walking speed, while you can slightly adjust the distance dashed with the arrow keys. At the end of the dash, you would swing your sword outwards in an arc towards your side, and the damage would only be dealt during that part of the animation. It would use about twice the stamina of a normal attack, and would deal more or less the same amount of damage, maybe slightly less.
You never said we couldn't have more than one suggestion, so keep that in mind. :P

Works fine for me.
EDIT: Now it doesn't. :(
More updates sooooooooooon please post more stuff kthanks
I'll work on the parry later, take the 2nd weapon attack as the end of the combo :D
Update 0.01 (http://www.truploader.com/view/959371)
Those animations are straight-up perfect. I commend you, sir.
I like em :D
That is one awesome compilation, and thanks for the addition of my suggestion. You deserve a +rep.
-Parry Added
Update 0.02 (http://www.truploader.com/view/704234)
Awesome. It was a bit quick though, I had to play it like 4 times :X
(See EP's Post below)
Yeah, make like a menu, or if that's too hard or time consuming just put separate links. :X
Make it so that we can choose what move we want to see.

Update Ver 0.025 (http://www.truploader.com/view/835120)
done.
Sweep Attack: Attack while ducking. It deals less damage, but it has small knock-back. With hammers it will have a larger knock-back than it has with a normal swing. The attack animation is somewhat quick. The only problem with this attack however is that it has a larger cool-down, so fast weapons can't be spammed.
Great! Can't wait to see moar. (seeing that there are options for 7-10 that aren't clickable)
They all seem to be labeled attack, is there any way to edit that to be the name of the move? Or if not, a simplified meaning of the word. Not really needed, the menu is nice though. It's better than having to wait for the moment of the move you want to see.
Update Ver 0.03 (http://www.truploader.com/view/248397)
Sorta Turned the sweep attack into a low spin sweep attack but bleh
Nice animations :)
You said to post here with ideas. So how about throwing the sword at the target? More stam, less damage, but gives ranged attack.

[buzzkill]I personally don't think that would work. For one thing, no stick has an infinite number of GSs, so what would he have to do to get it back? Pick it up from where it landed? And another is that there's already ranged attacks for the GS in this topic(Sweep and Walk). Too many would look like rehashes. Besides, some weapons have long range(Snowball and Whip) but do low damage. This would effectively completely obsolete them.[/buzzkill]
EDIT: Oh yeah, here's a couple of ideas.
-Fake Out- W when opponent isn't attacking. It'd seem like you're attacking for a split second, but then you stop and your speed increases for a very short amount of time to get out of range of an attack if your opponent is going to hit-for-hit. It uses a very minuscule amount of stamina(say, 5 or 7 for the GS). Maybe a slightly longer cooldown than a normal attack.
-Jump Attack- S and Up at the same time. You'd jump slightly less higher than you would normally, while thrusting your sword upward for the duration of your upwards momentum. Only the first few frames would hit.

Isn't that attack 3?

That's an attack while in midair, AFTER jumping. You'd attack while jumping with this, like an uppercut.
I think it would be out of hand if we have like, 10 different attacks for a single weapon, but since this is just fun:
-Block, hold down a button and you'll hold your weapon in front of you, one hand holding the handle and the other steadying the blade at the top, and use the flat of the blade to defend
-Block-counter, while blocking, press D to kick your opponent while he's in his after-swing

I'd rather have 10 attacks per weapon and not that many of them than a single attack and tons of weapons.

Already have Parry, which is essentially the same thing as both of those.

Niiiiceee. I guess you proved him wrong about the infinite GS thing. I knew swords could be thrown like boomerangs. Hercules taught me that. :P
i really like those animations cero
Considering how Meiun wanted to make combat more player-oriented, I see these as being great ideas for different moves. Only problem is having to make all these animations for ALL of the different weapons.

The jump attack looks awkward. It seems like the sword is weightless.

And we can survive falls of infinite heights and walk away without even a bruise.

Mmmm, no, why do you think we start with 1/4 hp? The fall, duh! ;)
Rather interesting animations, good work. I'm biased against flash though- it's like the Staples Easy button. If you would do that, I would suggest having characters with different body parts that rotate accordingly, but use pixel art for stick figures.

My idea is a stat reseter. :D.Its a ball and you walk near it and press ctrl and it costs like 100000 coins or more or less.Persanely I would have it high.

This topic is not open to discussion for your ideas, and nice necro-post. :-\
