Young the Giant is an indie band, theyre really awesome. A friend of mine tried to get me to go to one of their concerts in Austin before I really knew about them, and I really regret not going. They're songs are really catchy and they will definitely hook you if you give them a chance.

They're actually playing at a venue fairly close to me (1 hour) and tickets are only 1$.
I semi-considered going, but its not really my type of music.

That's cool. I like some punk, metalcore, post-hardcore, indie, metal, etc.
they sound pretty good. alittle different then what i listen too but nice. kinda like a soft rock or something.

I understand that. I wouldn't be into them if I wasn't friend with some Austin hipsters. There's a really big indie scene down there.

Ah Wolfmother, heard them before. Pretty good band.
Also, Panic at the Disco seems to be pretty decent, I've heard of them but never really listened to their stuff.

dont really care for the song raeyo. reminds me of the mentally handicapped guy at my place of work trying to sing songs off the radio.
Like punk, ska isn't really about singing, its about the combination of the instruments. This is one of the more punk-like songs in my arsenal anyway. There are plenty of ska bands with better voices but to be honest that really doesn't matter since I'm so used to it after listening to Rancid my entire life. (His voice is much worse than this guy.)
