And we thought the PS3's first price tag was outrageous.

Saw that a long while back.  Can't imagine it'd be anything more than something to showcase to your friends, as the Gold would act as an amazing insulator to the console's heat, frying your console if it runs for very long.

I thought it was the opposite. Gold is a good conductor of heat and electricity. It's sometimes used on electric cables, and as foil in thermal cooling.

Holy $#!%, if I where to buy that, I wouldn't even play it, I'd be to scared to even touch it. I wonder how much money Sony wasted on this   24 Karat gold Ps3. Meh,like Chaos said, if you got the money, why not.
