Yeah Jake would know all about putting those gay kids through inner hell alright, all too literally in a graphic sort of way...

-People getting mad when I don't like their screamo bullshit music
One of my pet peeves. Close-minded people. If you don't like it fine, I don't like most screamo either. But when you call it bullshit music is when you piss people off.

-"If evolution is real why are there still monkeys"
not sure if you're saying someone who says this annoys you or if this is your stand.... If this is your saying, then I would say you don't understand evolution very well.

-People mad when I don't care about the gay kids(or anyone for that matter) who commit suicide due to bullying, something everyone goes through and gets over
Jake gave you enough bullshit for this, but I would just like to point out that disliking suicide and not caring about gay kids are two completely different things. I personally do not approve of suicide since during my 4 years in high school, there were 3 kids who committed suicide and I saw the effect it had on the entire school. But that doesn't mean I think those kids were stupid and that I don't care about them. They went through struggles I couldn't even imagine and while I don't think suicide was the right choice, my heart still goes out to them.

I would have punched that man in the face.

Oh yeah! one more pet peeve!
-when someone drinks all the coffee/creamer!!

crozier

-when my English teacher mispronounces a word. She said ogg-ra, when the word was oviously ogre, once. Oh-grr.

People who say this annoy me.

I definitely care about the people who are bullied. I think bullying is a terrible thing. I don't care about people who were bullied and killed themselves.

Also, some more:
-People playing music loudly on buses or trains
-People going "awkwaaaard!" during any moment of silence in a conversation
-Arguing with the teacher and holding up my class time
-Teachers giving too many oral presentation assignments
-When people have to insult some personal thing of mine because they can't think of anything else. Like if they suck at arguing they have to insult me instead of what I'm saying. It's called an ad hominem or something
-"I live for the nights I won't remember with the people I'll never forget" or any variation of this. Please stop trying to make getting piss drunk at a party and !@#$ing every other guy some kind of way of life
-When I see godwin's law apply in real life

Isaiah 13:15-18
Exodus 21:15
Deuteronomy 17:12
Leviticus 20:10

Titan

1.People who never stop talking.
2.Hipsters/Rednecks/Gangsters/Redneck gangsters.(Seriously I live in Vermont, I could deal with the Rednecks maybe, but the gangsters and redneck gangsters wearing carharts and fitted hats, work boots, and a xx-l gangster t-shirt piss me off)
3.Seriously the above, it makes me hate where I live.
4.People who never stop talking about partying and doing drugs.
5.Teachers who make class boring.
Livin' in a lonely world.

I must agree. People do this walking down hallways at my college or across the bridge. It is obnoxious and I feel better knowing they will be deaf by the time they're 40 and then I can make fun of them to their face without them knowing what I'm saying.

-People going "awkwaaaard!" during any moment of silence in a conversation
Hate hate haaaaaate this! Let's make the awkward pause even more awkward by saying "awkward" instead of actually changing the subject like intelligent human beings.

-"I live for the nights I won't remember with the people I'll never forget" or any variation of this. Please stop trying to make getting piss drunk at a party and !@#$ing every other guy some kind of way of life
Ummm, they're living to their life to enjoy life while they can before they get a STD causing a terminal illness or until someone drops a rufie(sp?)  in their drink and get raped?

-lolcats
:O But they're so lol-worthy! I found a book at Barnes & Noble full of just lolcats xD

That drinking thing reminded me of another pet peeve of mine...
-When people try to get me to do weed. (No one has offered me other drugs, but you can bet I'd turn those down too). This bugs me endlessly, because their reasoning to try weed is always flawed.
Them "Why not try it?".
Me "why would I want to?"
Them: "Because it's awesome"
Me: "Jumping off a bridge would also be awesome until you hit the ground"
Them: "It relaxes you and makes you think more clearly about things"
Me: "yoga & music do the same thing for me, why would I pay more money to relax & think more clearly?"

It also makes you lazy and get the munchies, so why would I want to waste a bunch of money on 2 things that I heavily try to avoid?
No it doesn't kill brain cells, no it's not chemically addictive, no one has ever died from weed.
But none of that changes the fact that it's illegal, a waste of money, and hence why I never want to try it, because I don't WANT to like it. Overall, I just really hate peer pressure...
/rant

Surprised I didn't put this one earlier as it's one of my biggest pet peeves.

Wut?  I would never put 'because it's illegal' as a reason.  Think about who you're talking about.

*I* have yet to see a single shred of evidence that it DOESN'T kill braincells, and the multitude of moronic stoners I've met certainly does NOT tip the scale in their favor.

That is probably because they are moronic to start out with and probably have dabbled in other drugs. And it makes them lazy so they never learn anything, thus making them more moronic.

I know you wouldn't, but it still reminded me of you.

And yeah, I'd agree with Alex. There's people who smoke weed, and then there are stoners. If you let something like weed control your life, you're probably not too smart to start with. As for weed making people lazy, I disagree with that. It makes lazy people lazier, but I know hard workers who smoke every day of their lives and have been for at least 10 years(two of my old bosses).

If you want the perfect example of a destructive drug, look at alcohol.

If you're suggesting that weed causes hallucinations, you might want to do a little more research. At max, it causes slight visual disturbances. EDIT: Ooops, turns out I misunderstood what Chaos was saying. Oh well.

Why do I say alcohol is more destructive?
-85,000 people die from alcohol each yeah. Close to 0 die from smoking marijuana. http://drugwarfacts.org/cms/?q=node/30
-Alcohol can cause feelings of anger and aggressiveness, while weed tends to make people more relaxed and calm. http://www.mjlegal.org/violence.html
-Alcohol is horribly bad for your liver, weed isn't
-Alcohol can cause permanent brain damage from binge drinking, while weed does not cause any permanent damage, despite how much you smoke http://www.webmd.com/mental-health/news/20030701/heavy-marijuana-use-doesnt-damage-brain

Well then, if we are going to play the game of facts, why not examine the paperwork at the other side of the table.  I'll just quote directly:

Addiction:
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlLong-term marijuana abusers trying to quit report irritability, sleeplessness, decreased appetite, anxiety, and drug craving, all of which make it difficult to quit. These withdrawal symptoms begin within about 1 day following abstinence, peak at 2?3 days, and subside within 1 or 2 weeks following drug cessation.

Mental Effects:
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlHigh doses of marijuana can produce an acute psychotic reaction; in addition, use of the drug may trigger the onset or relapse of schizophrenia in vulnerable individuals.
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlA number of studies have shown an association between chronic marijuana use and increased rates of anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and schizophrenia. Some of these studies have shown age at first use to be a factor, where early use is a marker of vulnerability to later problems. However, at this time, it is not clear whether marijuana use causes mental problems, exacerbates them, or is used in attempt to self-medicate symptoms already in existence.
Yep, inconclusive results must mean it's not bad for you right?

Effects on the heart:
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlMarijuana increases heart rate by 20?100 percent shortly after smoking; this effect can last up to 3 hours. In one study, it was estimated that marijuana users have a 4.8-fold increase in the risk of heart attack in the first hour after smoking the drug.
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlThis risk may be greater in aging populations or those with cardiac vulnerabilities.

Effects on the lungs:
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlNumerous studies have shown marijuana smoke to contain carcinogens and to be an irritant to the lungs. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50?70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than does tobacco smoke. Marijuana users usually inhale more deeply and hold their breath longer than tobacco smokers do, which further increase the lungs? exposure to carcinogenic smoke. Marijuana smokers show dysregulated growth of epithelial cells in their lung tissue, which could lead to cancer;8 however, a recent case-controlled study found no positive associations between marijuana use and lung, upper respiratory, or upper digestive tract cancers.9 Thus, the link between marijuana smoking and these cancers remains unsubstantiated at this time.
Quote from: http://drugabuse.gov/infofacts/marijuana.htmlNonetheless, marijuana smokers can have many of the same respiratory problems as tobacco smokers, such as daily cough and phlegm production, more frequent acute chest illness, and a heightened risk of lung infections. A study of 450 individuals found that people who smoke marijuana frequently but do not smoke tobacco have more health problems and miss more days of work than nonsmokers.10 Many of the extra sick days among the marijuana smokers in the study were for respiratory illnesses.

The facts speak for themselves.

Oh, and throw out that mamsy pamsy argument about how this is off a .gov website.  Go ahead.  Not like they aren't going to reference their own studies when they determine the legality of it.  That would just make sense wouldn't it?
