Since my mum doesn't want to donate is there a way i can play the game single player ?

Can't really help with singleplayer though, don't think Meiun aproves it, but I'm not here to speak for him.

The donation pool is the only real way to get in without donating at this point in time, as DR4N3 mentioned. Once V3 is out (no ETA on that time period yet) it will be free.

As for single player, the game was designed entirely as an MMO, so single player would not even be possible really.
