Have you guys read the book?

The Hunger Games is a First Person young-adult science fiction novel written by Suzanne Collins. It is the first book of the Hunger Games trilogy. It introduces sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where North America once existed. This is where a government working in a central city called the Capitol holds power. In the book, the Hunger Games are an annual televised event where the Capitol chooses one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of 12 districts for a massive televised battle in which only one person can survive.

The book is VERY, VERY entertaining. And yes, that description was from wikipedia. But anyways, they are also coming out with a movie sometime in December, I believe.

Read the series :D

Quite disappointed with the last book, but I suppose it has to end the series with more emotion. Overall a great read, would recommend :)

I've heard about this from my sister, but haven't read them myself. I do enjoy the concept, if you're interested in simular themed stories I'd recommend;
The Long Walk - Richard Bachman (Stephen King), and Battle Royale - Koushun Takami (Also made into a cheesy, but !@#$ing awesome movie.)

I'll have to try it out sometime.

You'd probably really enjoy it. We are reading it in English class.

Read the first book. Started out kind of slow, but got better when the game started.

Trying to get the second book, Catching Fire, but the media center at my school that has copies of the book has all of them checked out. I'm reading the Redwall books until Catching Fire is available.

There should seriously be an online game based on the Hunger Games. Would be sweet.

Speaking of online game, I had actually recreated the Hunger Games on Minecraft so me and my friends could play on it. It's not too detailed or anything, I made it in about 2 hours so we could just have some fun.

I am just about to finish Catching Fire. It's a pretty great book, aswell.

And yes, the first book kinda started out a little slow, but I still enjoyed it.

I finished the second book, and started reading the third one yesterday. I'm on page 122. So far, it's a really good story, just like all of the other ones. It's not often that I find a book that I get hooked to like these.

You read Maximum Ride? Those books are quite difficult to put down. The Redwall series is also addicting, and quite hilarious. It's too bad the author of Redwall died this year, though. :(

Maximum Ride has 7 books, and the finale is being released next year. Redwall has 22 books and can be read in any order.

I haven't read either of those. Sounds interesting! I might try it out.
