As being a fan of Warcraft III and Starcraft, I've used both map editing tools, they are absolutly brillient. Warcraft III map editing is what got me into programming from the very beginning, creating my own map or "game" with the map editor.

The Starcraft II map editor is much more advanced then the Warcraft III map editor obviously, but you can do some amazing things with it, such as this. Youtube it, there are some great maps made already with the tool.

I even remember there being a race kart map in warcraft 3 that blizzard had created.
