Yea seriously. I wish the concept of the internet meme were dead. It's such an annoying thing in itself. The fact that hundreds of thousands of people accross the internet latch onto a single, and usually ridiculous, "joke" is just lame.

Actually, if you look at what causes a meme to die (it becoming mainstream) I think the death of the internet meme is pretty immenent. You hear more and more about it in more and more public avenues. Hopefully this means the people who generally latch onto them will start to realize how lame they really are.
