Typically inside jokes are only funny to those in the "know". This does not change when those who are not are clued in. It's still not funny to them, mostly because they're pretty stupid jokes, but now that these people are part of the "club" they feel special. I hate shit like that. If some people want to make a joke about lazors or whatever random crap, let them be retarded (It's okay to be retarded btw). It doesn't mean every freakin person needs to laugh at all this nonsense. But whatever...

Btw, I just remembered my least favorite meme. Chuck Norris jokes. I'm sure everyone who frequents here knows by now how much I hate that meme for jacking Bill Brasky's style. Oh, and more recently, the Dos Equis commercial. It's a fraud of a fraud. I mean come on, if you're going to claim to be the Most Interesting Man in the World, at least drink a more interesting beer. At least Brasky was more modest, he was simply the Best Salesman in the Region. But he was far more interesting than Chuck Norris or Dos Equis combined. If anyone rivals Brasky, it's Jameson. That man made a mean whiskey.

Memes like Chuck Norris are indeed one of the worst. Mainly because it's overhyped and overestimated. I mean, there are a very small few (a very small few) that were actually genuinely funny, but as it starts to get popular with the crowd, a lot of stupid ones that made no sense or were just not even clever or funny kept popping up, and that's what killed it. When it was simple things like "Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door.", it was pretty okay. When it just became INFLATED with interest and popularity from the general public (which we all know, has a below-average intelligence), a bunch of stupid "CHUCK NORRIS IS SO STRONG HE CAN FLY LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL"s popped up all over the place, and that's what killed the meme.

Same thing happened to Rickroll and The Game. It was just overspammed by annoying preteen brats to the point where seeing it just makes you think "Oh, THIS again."

Snake, I get what you're saying, but the Chuck Norris jokes were a ripoff from the very beginning. Where ever the hell they sprung up from, even when they were original and "underground" or whatever the hell you want to call it, it was an old concept. The effect you're referring to where it became "unfunny" when more people started using it happened for me as soon as people started using Bill Brasky jokes with Chuck Norris in his place. The second it was Chuck Norris, it became overused. Hell, the Brasky jokes, by that point, were pretty old. My friends and I had been quoting Brasky jokes loud and annoyingly for years and had killed it pretty thoroughly by the time I heard the first Chuck Norris joke (and even then the skit was pretty old... it's from the late 90's). So I think you can see the irony here...

Every second I turn around I see you going on and on about this Bill Brasky crap...it's unhealthy. Numerous occasions playing NFO or SO I remember you ranting on and on about Chuck Norris and Bill Brasky. I leave you with these final words: "Chuck Norris is so fraudulent he ripped Bill Brasky's identity to shame". Now you can tell that joke to all of your friends!

Because you're old and none of the young kids know who Bill Brasky is? Everyone these days knows who Chuck Norris is... it's like an updated version. Like how Avatar was an updated version of Pocahontas. Everyone reuses ideas and I think you're going a little bat-shit insane over this honestly... I'm pretty sure most people who love the Chuck Norris jokes weren't even old enough when the Bill Brasky thing started, considering I was about 6 or 7 years old at the time...

That is quite possibly true.

I think the point of all of this is that funny things will always be ruined forever.
