There's no such thing as 1.9 now since it's a pre-release, and it's not long until Minecon.

Started playing it and I spawned on that stupid island with no trees again.

So, I think I figured out a way to improve my Framerate on my old laptop.

1. Start Game Booster
2. Change screen resolution from 1366x768 to 800x600.
3. Play Minecraft on Normal with 50-60 FPS.

It doesn't look as pretty, but it's better than 20 FPS on short!

I'm currently playing through Guude's 404 map. It's a CTM type map (Complete the monument - you need to find 16 different colored wool each in treasure chests inside different areas).

Got 7 wool so far and its getting tougher and tougher. It's pretty fun I recommend it and I also recommend checking out GuudeBoulderFist on Youtube, good minecraft videos.

You guys have no idea how much OptiFine helps with FPS!

I used to play on short render distance, now I can play on Far with about 30-40 FPS :)

Edit: And this is a Texture Pack I am working on. It makes everything a lot greener, sort of like painterly pack. And comments? :)
