Minor tweaks to the game

So. I looked through every single available update post in the update section. All but 4 contain "Minor tweaks/changes to the engine". Of what nature are these changes, and why are there so many of them?

Scotty

This is just the nature of software engineering in general.  Not just Stick Online.  I know from work that every time I come out with a new shiny feature, I always go in and add a few additional tweaks and enhancements.  Most are minor optimizations that are done to help a little here, a little there, so on and so forth, and really have no significance to the users.  It could be anything from changing a variable name to something a little more developer friendly (i.e. renaming variable "row" to "dbQryExec", you get the point), to altering a method's returning value, technical stuff that the user has no interest in hearing.  In all reality, it could go without saying, it's just how development works.

Seifer

Scotty says it best. But if we did not at least write this, everyone would make topics asking what was in the update.

Meiun

Typically when I list that in the update log it involves stuff more significant than renaming variable names, but is still usually either minor or overly technical enough that its not really worth going into detail about. Sometimes it involves slight changes to spawn/drop rates or other minor balancing changes (note that if it were any more than minor i'd typically list it in the log as its own line), revising some code that helps performance a little, tweaking some security features, among countless other things.

:( unless its improving the rate.

Forum, you know as well as I do that that's not it. Thanks, guys, I've always wondered about that.

Jackabomb was saying Meiun doesn't tweak the spawn/drop rates which hes wrong and i already gave him an option of reading back the quote. So please don't say "I think" he doesn't improve the rates. Now that i see Meiun has already told us what the nature of the rates is, we might be done.

It can be either an increase or a decrease. Obviously it is just whatever I think it needs.

Jackabomb

Please folks, it's a joke. I know that it is false to say that the rates never improve, however, that's the way it seems. I'm not complaining or asking that the rates be improved, I'm making a joke.

Forum, I'm sorry if I appear  stupid enough to you as to directly contradict meiun about coding things. If I didn't plan to believe the answers I got, I wouldn't have asked the question. If that's the case, I don't know as there's a whole lot I can do about it. And no matter how stupid someone is or isn't, never say "He said that and this" unless you're quoting verbatim, which you weren't. It's rude and inconsiderate to stuff words in people's mouths.

I think when you increased Stone hammer attack to 50, you made it rarer. I can't get one on Atlas :(.

I love how you're trying to keep the argument REsolved(yeah, wrong word choice again), but all you're doing is bringing it back up. :-X

To be fairly blunt, there is zero point to these apparent 'moderation' posts you're making lately. None. The best thing to do is to turn a blind eye, if it's that important(which of course it wasn't) an actual mod will step in and fix it. Quite frankly, it was rude to call him an idiot simply because of your incorrect supposition(and if you had simply kept what Jackabomb said in-context, you would have realized what he meant), and just because you don't like having an argument turned against you, you decide to bolt the door when it's already locked, causing ruckus in the middle of the night?

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest, not a fan of largely pointless posts.

EDIT: In fact, a large amount of the posts you've been making seem to have zero point. At least use proper grammar so we can understand you, if that's not the case. All I've been seeing from you is

'Accually, no'

'flame flame flame stfu stfu stfu sftu'

'reMember, that's inccorrect. Chaos said this'

and it's highly unnecessary. Just please, for the love of god, THINK before you post a little more.
