Well if you want to see the world destroyed and go down the tube, then no.
But how many people really and truly want the world to be destroyed..?
About 0.0001% of the earth's population.
That would be 600,000 people that want the earth to be destroyed.

Try adding a zero. And no, sulking misanthropic teenagers do not count as people.
Only 600,000?
I meant to imply more than that. And I wasn't even taking children into consideration.

But anyway, here's another quote:
"People die if they are killed." -Shirou Emiya

Well, everyone has their own agenda nowadays... too many people strive to change which is already proper. I don't want a bunch of blunt tards going out with a new found inspiration to change what they wish to see in the world...just not my idea of a party. :-\
It's all about politics my friend. And politics is all about survival of the fittest, you either take action or fall victim to each new era as it comes.

I think what the original quote is referring to is the fact that if you want to see some kind of change in the word, you should be that way. It has nothing to do with destroying the world if you want to see the world destroyed. In fact, if you think about it, people who might want to destroy the world probably do so because they don't like something about it. This advice, being the change you want to see, would apply to them not in the context of enacting their plan to blow up the world, but in acting and doing things the way they want to see different about the world. In other words, the advice given is basically, stop complaining about wanting the world to change and start by changing yourself. Not, if you want to blow up the world or something, go do it already!

Actually I never mentioned somebody hoping of destroying the world...I think somebody else mentioned that bit. I interpret this as "You can be what you want to be" kind of quote...which I hate. Not only is it an incredibility impracticable concept but a foolish one. Obviously the person who said it probably didn't consider what I had in mind with it, but just the bearing the concept of these kinds of phrases makes me cringe.

I think that's possibly the best point made so far...

My interpretation is kinda what Lingus said. If you like the world how it is, stay the same, do whatever it is you do, but don't expect the world to change if you're not willing to. It's like a butterfly effect scenario, minus the going back in time. If you wish the world to change, then start with yourself.

Just read a delicious poem:
"OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
 For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul."
Isaiah 13:15-18
Exodus 21:15
Deuteronomy 17:12
Leviticus 20:10

Nice.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it.

Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion.
Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare.
Impossible is potential.
Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is nothing."

Is the 9:11 a joke that went over my head, or are you confused on the verse? Because that's definitely John 3:16.
