Guys c'mon what's wrong?

With the latest push of drop chances for the top notch items, chances to be on top of the stick players have never been better.
People got GS & DH very often lately, especially the low lvlers, so if you ever wanted to get the last desired item, it is about damn time.

So question is: Where are you guys?

We can't even reach more than 10 players (except when SG spawned)
Hope to see more of you, because you all are browsing these forums regularly

Sorry with my family, family in-law, wife, and work I don't know how anyone has as much free time as they do because I have like zero time to play.

Meh. All I know is that 3 weeks ago I was level 45, am now level 83 and still haven't got a GS. Obtained 5 katanas, around 8 wooden hammers, many pirate hats, many frog hats. But that GS continues to elude me. This pure luck based drop system does not ROCK!

I believe it's pretty hypocritical of you to throw the blame around at "you guys", when I haven't seen you once in the past two weeks. Not that that matters, there's no blame to go around in the first place, this is a game, not a job to keep Link2007 entertained.

As fun as Stick Online is, it isn't what it used to be. Without a clan system, nor the old unique PvP system which in itself served as a kind of forced clan system, we're left with an empty shell of what Stick Online was. Meiun explained this himself, stating that he never meant for Stick Online to be reduced to "comparing player A to player B in a generic and trivial fighting environment." All that's left in this shell is a repetitive grindfest for the best items, items that are a requirement if you wish to participate in Stick Online's current only endgame content: being the best PvPer. Although official tournaments always encouraged 1v1 fights, this was not meant to be the only goal for its players.

For a lot of people, this grindfest is torture, and this is where complaints about a luck based drop system arise. In order to prevail in PvP, you must spend hours upon hours grinding the same monsters with the same animations, watching low level players around you get lucky as you grow more and more frustrated. In this now 1v1 based game, a luck based drop system just isn't the right approach. We have a drop system that supports a large player count and clans, and a pvp system that supports neither. I petitioned to bring back the old pvp system a long time ago, and I still would prefer it to our current system, but I'm not sure what Meiun thought on the matter, or if anyone would still agree with me nowadays...

But don't get me wrong, I still think Stick Online is fantastic, and I encourage its activity. However, the game is flawed, and I don't think you should guilt trip people into playing an incomplete game. I will continue to play it, as I find it relaxing, but I can relate with anybody who is frankly bored or simply aggravated.

So yeah, there's my 2? on why SO is inactive.

Besides that, why should we play a game that has had no real visible progress for a few years? Sure, there might be a new version coming around sooner or later (almost certainly later...) but meanwhile small patches to the original game are simply not going to keep people like myself playing for long.

I do have more than 2 accounts, I've been online almost everyday the past 2 weeks, that's the reason why I came to the conclusion in the threads starting post.
Also I do not want people to come online to "entertain" me. I do want them to realize that drop chances have never been better so even if there is no new content, there is a reason to check on once in a while.

Like I did state before, chance to obtain these items have never been better. And even pvping versus other "average equipped" pvpers can be funny.

Well your first point is true, but that training of boredom thing is also created due to a low amount of players sitting next you, being afk 1/2 of the time. I remember days where we had 15+ people sitting on temple and at least 10 of them were active and talkative.
Of course the access has been closed for non-donators but when I scroll down these forums, It shows me a hell lot of forum users being active here but not in the game. :/
As for the pvp-system, yeah most would probably agree that the old one was more fun. But without mods being on 24/7 you can't avoid players from doing bullshit when bosses appear. :/

I'm currently dedicating all of my free time to sitting in front of my computer, pining away for Scotty's Minecraft server to come back up. Sorry mate.

And to get on ART's server as well, hopefully. :I

But yeah, I'm fairly active in SO, not as much as I was before, but still.

Lucifer summed it up perfectly right there.

EDIT: Felt like I had to clarify something.

This luck based drop system, even with improved drop rates(and I'm very thankful for that), still is a VERY tedious grindfest to get items. That will not change, and seeing lucky low levels get items aplenty can wear people down even more, myself included. Speaking as the only level 100 in SO sans GS, I can say that it is in no way easy to get items, even with the upped drop rates.

I like to test my patience. I'm level 50 somewhere, but I'm already bored of the game. All I hear is *thack* *thack* *thack* *thack* and random attacks. It needs more interest. Plus everything special they're hosting is for high levels, and I never win. So yeah, if you want me on, then either SOv3 has to be released or I need self-esteem. (I'm not those people who grief for self-benefit, I'm actually some 14 year old that gives everything to everyone.) Everyone that made level 100 will most likely succeed more than me though...

EDIT: Okay, maybe I'm not testing patience, because I figured out I have low patience. What I'm actually testing is dedication. Patience and dedication are different.

king

i have school, homework after school, baseball practice everyday, chores, family, and alot of other things...

sorry guys for not playing.

Yankyal

maybe they got bored of the lack of major updates and decided to wait it out until SO3?
