It won't let me log into Youtube for some reason. Is this about the tsunami?

DarkTrinity

They had like a 8.9 earthquake, which is supposedly the highest ever seen. (at least that's what the tv says)

The highest ever seen was in Chile in 1960, which came out to be a 9.5.  Last year's was a 8.8, being the fifth worse recorded since 1900.  I don't know if they've come up with the official estimate on the size of the Japan earthquake just yet, but it's bad, really effing bad.

DarkTrinity

They thought it was a 7.9 at first and changed it to an 8.9(last I heard).
But like I said, that's just what the fool on the news said, lol.

I don't like the comment by the second highest rated comment on that video, it's pretty rude.  :-\
I hope most of what wasn't washed into the water can be salvaged if it's still on land.

Yea, i was listening to this this morning. They were talking to people on the pacific coast of the US. The tsunami was big enough to have an effect over here. Not very much of one but still. They said it's like switching between very high and very low tide within minutes.

Definitely doesn't sound good...

DarkTrinity

Apparently Hawaii, and our west coast was getting a bit of flooding

Lingus

Yea, I heard that later on. What I had heard was earlier in the morning.

I saw some video while out at sushi last night. It's horrifying...

Today they found out that Japan's main island, the bigger one, took a great impact and moved 8 FEET to the east.
