That's a problem with how your browser is playing the gif, not his animation. I am running Firefox and it is running at a fine speed. Try using another browser.

It seems as though there should be more spinning or more frames on the actual spinning. It could just be because I watched it around 10 times and it burned the image in my brain, or that I've never actually seen one spin while actually being thrown.  :P
