You can probably expect some tangible info within the next month or two.

Ummm....so that was posted back in April, and not meaning to rush ya bro...but it's about to be July. I was just wondering if we could receive any info at all about ANYTHING dealing with the game. I realize you just graduated and you're probably busy with your social matters and your friends, but it would be nice to know some information regarding the game. I also realize the month is not over and you may have been planning to post info in the near future, but I decided to go ahead and make a topic. Thanks in advance!

*sigh* I was wondering about this too, but i decided to not bug up the board with a topic, he'll post it when he posts it, he still has another month. give him a break, he has a life too.

That was posted towards the end of April, and it is about to be June (not July), so it has not even been a full month since I posted that. I said you can probably expect some info somewhere within the next month or two, and the statement still stands.

true... but a tiny update and maybe a few details wouldn't hurt either...

He doesn't need an excuse. He doesn't need to develop v3 at all.

Sorry? The last 4 years have been my time to focus on getting my Computer Science degree in college, not with SO. Any extra time I had mostly went to my family and girlfriend. I pretty much didn't even spend any time during college partying or doing other things of that sort due to how busy I often was. It would have been far easier for me to have just shut down all things SO completely (including any plans to make a new one) when I started college, and remarks like this certainly don't help with that. It's not an "excuse," but the truth. If your not ok with that, then while I really am sorry for disappointing you, nobody is forcing you to wait around.

As soon as I start releasing info, there comes a whole wave of new complications and expectations. But to put things simply, managing the community and developing the game are things that are a lot easier to keep separate for the initial phases of development for me. Things and concepts have changed a number of times with the game throughout the past few years of my college, and only within the past half year or so have things really started to settle and get moving in a solid direction. Therefore, I want to wait until I actually have something relatively solid and final before I go posting announcements about it.

To be honest, I likely would have posted at least a bit of stuff sooner, but the multiple instances of people attempting to straight up steal, rip off, take credit for, or otherwise abuse V2 have sort of furthered my desire to distance the new one from anyone who may try to pull something like that again (at least until I deem it ready).

A very important idea. Most developers including myself can experience sudden drains of motivation from simply replying to topics. Inexplicable, but Meiun will be motivated by whatever motivates him and not beforehand - as soon as that happens when he has a few spare hours we can expect progress. So you can't really expect a reliable ETA if Meiun runs on motivation like everyone else who is not paid to work.

Alright, sorry for causing so much trouble. I don't know why the hell I said July lmao, but anyways, I didn't mean to spark an argument, so topic closed.
