It's been about two years since I last played Stick online. Even more since I started playing and in all honesty, I'd thought it'd stopped completely and its members moved on. Until, of course, I see this message about version 3 appear in my facebook feed.

I can honestly say I'm pleasantly surprised to see some familiar names still on the forums, and it's nice to see that the game is still running (Any chance of it working for us Linux users?)

So. It's been two years, what've I missed?

You might be able to use a windows runtime environment to play it on Linux, but I don't know, I've never owned a linux. If you happen to figure out a way to play, there is currently one account available in the Stick Online Donation Pool. So if you apply, you'll be able to have an account (if you don't already) in no time at all.

The topic for said donation pool.

Meiun took us all out to Disneyworld where we had the best time of our lives.

Oh, and not much else.

You forgot to mention you guys made me a god, and worship the ground I walk on.

But honestly, not to much. Some small updates to V2 to keep donors playing, a donor pool was started to get more people playing, and has recived around 500$ in donations. Meiun has made a topic to provide us with screenshots/info on SO3, and so far it looks amazing.

Glad to see you back!

I haven't attempted in forever, but last I checked, about the only option you could try was wine, which didn't work well at all.  Suffice to say it was unplayable.  I know, it sucks for the Linux users.

Welcome back sir waffles.

Welcome back. Have you tried using WINE to play it?

Again, wine and GM don't go together well.  Good news is that wine supposedly supports XNA framework v3.0 (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=8153), granted, it is just one person's report, so we've yet to tell, but v3 might be a possibility!

Sad face. This makes me want to put Ubuntu on my spare computer and try it.. Or have you already done this, Scotty? If you have, I'd like to know what happened.

Blast. I'll have a poke and see if anything happens. Although if it didn't work I'd say that's about par for the course as far as gaming on Ubuntu is concerned.

Is that all? I was afraid by now you lot had staged a coup on Meiun or something. Still, good to be back. Looking forward to playing SO3

I think I'll have to go for that spare account then. For the life of me I can't remember my login, if they've even been saved.
And yeah, I'm the same Waffle. I could do the little dance for you to prove it if you like?
