Hi, im just wondering how many unique players you have in the game each day?

Gho$t

could you define unique? I dont quite understand the question really. Since i have been playing though I have encountered a variety of players. There is usually aroun 10-15 players on depending on the time of day. Hopefully I helped answer your question.

The game was put down until a new version is finished. This game is the most popular homebrew/indie online game I've ever seen, so the results are really great (again, for an indie online game).

Delicious

Before the game was only released to donars, it averaged around 100 'unique' players. As of now, you're probably looking at around 10. However V3 is coming, and once it does I'd imagine hundreds would start playing again.  :)

If you mean all unique players, there were thousands at one point. If you mean active, it was probably in the hundreds. Depending on how active, I wouldn't doubt there were around 300+ semi-active to fully-active unique players. During tournaments there were just over a hundred people logged in at one time. I would bet the number of semi- to fully- active players during that time would be around double or triple that number. If you consider that there were probably a lot of people that were not able to log in during the tournament.

Between all of yesterday (the 24th) and right now, there have been 68 unique accounts that have been logged into on the SO donor server. This number definitely fluctuates a good bit based on the day. Just this last weekend we had well over 20 people on simultaneously, which was a nice treat. You do also need to remember that the currently playable version is essentially no longer in development (and hasn't really been for a couple years now), and is also only available to donors as the new game is being made. Back when the currently available version of the game was in full development and open to the public, we would very often have well over 100 users on simultaneously, and I'm sure multiple times that in terms of unique account logins on any given day. Before V2 was taken down to the public, there was well over 20,000 accounts registered for it (although I can't say that all of them were necessarily active). Once V3 is released to the public, I'm sure we will see yet another big spike in activity.

I'd say a little more than big. I can see this getting well over 20,000 accounts.

Thank you for the answers =D
Im working on an onlinegame myself and just needed to check if people really play the indie onlinegames. And i looks like they does. But i think we will work around a half a year or something to have a really small beta version to be playable.

Nope, Mojang is broke because no one plays Minecraft [/sarcasm]
Yes, tons of people play indie games. And if you manage to get just a little marketing, even a home-done game can get quite a few players, and continually grow. :)

I hope not, however, if it does ...

You'll want to be careful, as this is skirting dangerously close to a rule that is in place on another forum here, yet applies anywhere:  http://www.stick-online.com/boards/index.php?topic=319.0

He's not really an active poster (old one, even) so much as he just signed up here because he wanted to get input on seeing if working on a very small 'indie' online game yielded any fruit over the years(which considering that Meiun didn't expect Stick Online to become so somewhat popular, it makes sense). I very highly doubt he's attempting to promote it here.
