Shadowfang is a wolf spirit, Walter's pet/ally from the ending of Fight Game RPG, when he was doing Masson's bidding. The one time Masson had to assert his dominance when Walter rebelled, Masson used the Dark Crystal to force Walter to kill his wolf, which was the one thing he cared for more then his power. After Masson left, Walter went about finding a way to summon the spirit of Shadowfang. The process merged there souls, and with the merging Shadowfang saw that Albert had forced Walter into it, and forgave him. Shadow still holds a grudge against Masson that Walter had never matched.

Shadowfang, like Walter with his cloak of shadows, can merge into the darkness and move undetected. Being a wolf, Shadow also has a keen sense of smell, and can track the faintest of scents, given something to follow.
Shadowfang and Walter communicate telepathically, through their spirit link. This allows them to co-ordinate themselves with ease, and communicate over large distances.
