Albert walks to the center of the maze. Unfortunately, it looks like someone got here first.

Cursing, Masson looks down at the space in the area reserved for the taken treasure. He tampers with it for quite a while, desperately- only to find there IS something VERY well hidden there.

It looks like a magical white diamond bracelet, but seemingly devoid of any energy whatsoever. Masson frowns. (Cursed Status)

"That's the Bracelet of Light, under a magical curse," a voice calls out.

Masson looks behind him to find the source of the voice, an old human lady. Albert starts to connect the mental dots.

"If you helped the person get here to the maze and take whatever was here, why did you not give him this?" Albert exclaims.

"He is not ready for it yet. He needs to master what he already cannot handle before combining his already overwhelmingly strong Staff with it, and for that to happen, it needs to have its curse lifted. You would almost certainly be unable to do much with it. But you DO seem like the right person to get what is needed to lift the curse," the old lady replies.

"...am I cursed by this thing now?" Albert asks.

"Oh, yes. QUITE the masterfully crafted curse."

Albert starts banging his head against the maze wall.

"What do I have to do to get my curse dispelled?" Albert asks.

"Lift the curse for the item and give it to the one who is destined to command the full power of the Staff- Alex Pages!" the old lady responds.

"Giving away powerful treasure...bleh." Albert murmurs to himself.

"Once you lift the curse for the item, it will show you the way to get to Pages. And who knows, maybe the Staff will grant you some unique power in return. You ARE Albert Masson, after all."

Albert's eyes widen and he suddenly yearns for the days where no one knew who he was instead of absolutely everyone. Ahh, convoluted plotting.

The area where the Bracelet was flashes and fills with glowing light which starts being bathed throughout the maze. Suddenly, everything becomes lit clearly, the monsters are dispelled, and beautiful animal and plant life starts swarming in the maze. Albert makes a mental note to come back here later, as he is CERTAIN some more hidden things of importance lay here.

Albert wears the Cursed Bracelet of Light and starts to exit the maze, his excellent memory recalling the exact path he took to get to where he was.
