"...aargh. Who's the fool who incurred my wrath THIS time?" says the garbled purple wraith as he begins to solidify.

Masson, still speechless, attempts to de-equip the Cursed Bracelet of Light, planning to throw it at Athulil's head, but it won't come off!

The wraith looks around and sees Albert wearing the bracelet. He nods his head. "...sorry I was a little late to come around and start explaining things to you, but- I'm sorry, is this a bad time?" it asks, wincing.

Masson, who seems to have his strength drained by the presence of the wraith, slowly nods.

"Oh. ...Well, sorry about that. I'll at least tell you a bit about me though. My name's Alaric. You might want to get to know me, because it's likely you'll be with me for the rest of your pathetically short life."

Athulil just watches, frowning the entire time.

"And rest assured, for the duration of your curse, I will completely protect you from attacking enemies and harm. To the best of my ability, anyway."

Albert suddenly starts grinning.

"But I won't attack unless provoked."

Albert suddenly starts frowning.

Albert, still breathless, cannot reply to Athulil about where he got the bracelet, nor can he ask him several questions.

Athulil frowns, waiting for an answer, but Masson says nothing. Athulil is about to swing his sword, but a mysterious force strikes the sword and it falls to the ground. A giant clock appears before Athulil, the one from his dreams! Masson doesn't seem to be able to see it.

"NOT TIME...FOR THIS...YET...IF YOU WANT...TO RULE THIS WORLD AGAIN...YOU MUST PROCEED WITH...YOUR PRIMARY GOAL...YOU MUST...DEFEAT...THE FALLEN GENIE...OF THE PAST..."

The giant clock vanishes. Still wondering why he was chosen for this mission, Athulil picks back up his sword. The only reason why Athulil is continuing with this mission is because of the power he can get from it. He thinks about temporarily allying with Masson.

"Hey, let's make a pact. If you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Interested?"

After seeing Athulil offer him a pact, Albert tries to flat-out refuse on the grounds that he doesn't trust, like, or not want to vigorously beat up Athulil, but the wraith seems to be working an influence over him, trying to avoid confrontations as much as possible to avoid draining his energy. Albert nods as in a daze and shake Athulil's hand, forcibly smiling as well.

"I'm going to MURDER you for this," Albert thinks as he stares at Alaric.

Albert suddenly gets angry enough that his strength returns to him. He yells a bunch of extremely loud and incomprehensible sentences at Alaric. Alaric, wanting him to stop as he suddenly becomes fearful of Albert, vanishes.

Albert finally speaks to Athulil. "Sure, I guess. I need to remove the curse on this powerful Bracelet of Light, and I have to restore its power before I can do that. The only place I can restore its power is in the Aquatic Temple of Ambience, Southwest of here, accessible through a hidden wall in the river floor. You're going to have to have something on you which allows for breathing underwater first, though."
