does it count x2 if you got a good item 2x?
Dunno if that has been discussed before but there are pros and cons for that rule.
Pro is that you killed more bosses to get a good item 2x or 3x.
Con is that most players sold their doubles and triplets.

No.  5 GSs are the same as 1.

Even with all of my rare hats and event weapons (including snowball), all I get is this?

I don't know if someone else did that before, but I investigated all the items 1 by 1 and found out that this is the best inventory you can get (not including tournament prizes/gm stuff):



The first 2 lines are Tier 1 and are (and probably will ever be) the best items in SOv2 in terms of power.
The second 2 lines are Tier 2. Some of them (depending on your stats) are only a not so awesome replacement for Tier 1 items you may not have yet.
The last line are the best ones (arguably) of the Tier 3 items. (These are not needed at all (with the exception of BBE, if you have no BC) and "can" be replaced by tournament prizes, other event items or shoppable items(wizard/pirate))

That will get you a score of 1151.  If you replace the Egg Hat with the Top Hat, it will get you an 1152. 

There was a wide range for both of those items' point values.  But the Top Hat averaged 25 while Egg Hat was 24.

Ahh okay. But to be honest, I would think the egg hat is more powerful (and even more rare due to the fact it is only possible to obtain during easter) than the top hat.

Top Hat: +1 str, +1 agi, +1 vit, +3 int, +2 int, +1 def, +4 hp, +25 sta
Egg Hat: +1 agi, +1 vit, +1 int, +4 def, +3def

From my point of view 3 def is way better for PVP than 1str, 2int, 4hp &25 stam :P
If you try to argue that the top hats stats are better for PVE, if you already have enough def, I'd say not a valid argument, since everyone would use wizzy/pirate instead :P
