As per part of tradition can we be expecting a Halloween or Christmas tournament ?

If so would we be able to weed out past victors so different people can have a chance at winning, because its mostly been the same people winning. A suggestion might be to add handicaps to their gear or a separate small bracket with other prizes. The way the handicaps would work would be disallowing tourny items or even for all players for example: really rare items like LSS, slasher, ect.

But yeah as just a ponder, wondering if we may have a Halloween or Christmas tourny 2012 :D.

Doubt we will get enough people for the advanced bracket (if this tourney was to happen), cause the only truly active winners are luci, turkey, and gufi.
But idk man. If Dans up to hosting I would definitely be in (no 2nd or 4th place for me this time around!)

I know that Danimal recently voiced interest in hosting a tournament sometime in the near future, I assume he has been busy with college and whatnot and just hasn't gotten around to scheduling it.

As to your idea, I would be more than happy to face off against igufed round one of the next tournament! I do not however agree with handicaps or separate brackets. In your statement "...its mostly been the same people winning." you fail to mention that it's mostly been the same people practicing as well. I've slackened as of late, but before the last three tournaments gufi and Danimal can attest to my desire to practice every day, whenever possible.

There is also the fact that not only is there simply not as many people playing as there once were, but the current state of the game doesn't even emphasize PvP. In the old PvP systems, pre and post clans, there was always some reason to train and better yourself in PvP. As it stands, there are more players interested in PvE than there are in PvP. As such, with a smaller community, and with an even smaller PvP community, there truly isn't enough people for there to even be much diversity in the arena. If you think about it, would you even want to cut down the amount of players even more by a separate bracket?

If you would like some help in PvP, send me a private message or add me on MSN anytime and I would be more than happy to practice with you.

It's hard to find enough people for a tournament in an eight-year-old private game.
