Is there a joke to it I'm missing? If so explain it...because it doesn't seem so funny to me at all...

Don't be dense Joel... it's like a "What if SO were more like WoW?" It's kind of a jab at both games at once. And it was pretty well executed. Taking a screenshot of WoW and placing stick figures in the landscape. He even placed his name in the right places, and if you notice, the weapon he has up in the inventory screen is an IS. It even has a little description of it, "Forged in the heart of a Dark Sage, this ethereal blade is feared across the cosmos."
