This is where you're completely wrong. Meiun opened this server up for the donators, as a gift. If you donated after the server went down for the pure purpose of being able to play the game, in essence, "paying to play", that doesn't change anything. Your donation is still viewed as if you donated before the server went private, and heck the fact that Meiun allowed new people to donate is a gift in itself.

So now with that flawed logic out of the way, no, we don't "deserve" any sneak peaks. They would be nice, and most game creators do it, but the SO team has their own style.

You aren't paying to play, !@#$ing ninja'd nevermind.
Facepunch consumes your soul and assimilates you into their crazy community.

Also, sneak peaks arent possible due to the same reason no media has been released: They aren't sure if what they have atm is the final product (I remember hearing this from somewhere) so they dont wanna raise hopes for like a GS attached to the end of a whip when the final product turns out to be a hatchet tied to a stick (XD just an example)
What would be the minimum requirements to play SO on my computer?
i7 core running at 3.6 ghz 16gb ram minimum with at least 2 x ATI Radeon HD 4870. Best played with full surround sound and a 30" widescreen moniter.

This is kind of off topic but call it what you want, You can't gain access to the sever without paying, I payed and now have access. In my eyes this is paying to play.

More on topic.

I also remember Meiun saying somewhere it was mostly the basic enigne and such that had been coded, not so much the actual game.(correct me if I'm wrong)

True, but the point in calling it a donation is that, in advance of paying, you understand that you are not paying for a product or service. You are giving money to a cause, and as a result you are receiving a gift. You are not entitled to anything. Meiun doesn't even need to let you play the game, but he does because he is showing his gratitude for those that have donated. So in reality, there is a difference.

And certainly no one is entitled to advanced previews of the game. That will come in due time.

Lingus pretty much summed it up perfectly. The idea was originally to just do the donor server as a thank you to all the people who had donated in the past, but obviously it would have been silly to not thank people who donated after that as well (not to mention beneficial when it came to keeping the donor server up for any lengthy period of time). But anyways, try not to get too far off topic with all this please.
