All of the Jewish people were bankers/accountants...and Germany was in somewhat of an economic crisis. Hitler came to power and said, "Okay, why are we in this economic crisis, who's in charge of the money?" Gave the Germans a perfect reason to hate the Jews. (though of course it wasn't their fault at all) While he is an evil bastard, that was a pretty smart play on Hitler's part.

Actually... Not quite accurate.  Germany was in an economical crisis when they were handed the Treaty of Versailles.  This treaty pretty much forced them to admit fault of WWI and demanded that they pay the equivalent of $31.4 BILLION to the countries affected by the war.  This was rather outlandish, and it was estimated that had they attempted to pay it off, it would have taken until 1988 to pay it all in full.  That's 69 years of poverty from the year the treaty was signed.  Hitler came to power and the first thing he did was piss on the treaty (figuratively).  It wasn't at all related to the nationality of his accountants, it was the fact that his country got slammed with this treaty.

And I agree with Lingus!  That crazy loon even killed his own dogs before he bit the capsule and shot himself in the head!  Who does that to their own dogs!

Your argument fails upon the basis that you point the finger at the mods, who have done a fine job of attempting to keep this on topic, and have little, if at all deviated.

In all honesty, that's how conversations develop. You have cycles of on topic while it strands off into off-topic and makes it's way back on again. That is completely fine in all honesty...otherwise how can we actually enjoy discussing a topic to begin with if we have to worry about everything we write being strictly bound to exactly as the topic is. The kind of off topic that is unacceptable would be if I just ran in here and said something like "Who want's pizza?!" Because that obviously had no correlation to anything anybody has said. Sure we drifted into a miniature conversation about WWII...but the topic would be immediately shifted back on when somebody posts something like:

I would actually like to program video games or work in an area of games design after going through college. Though I have not completely made up my mind yet...because joining the marines also greatly appeals to me. As of current, I am considering the possibility of joining the marines and once my service time is over...which would of course be many years...I would than get a job in the field of game design for the rest of my life. I think it would be a good idea for me because I would over the course of my life be able to work both jobs that appeal to me, and at the same time receive the financial benefits for being retired armed forces.

Only a very small percentage of the community (ie you and may one or two others) have a problem with it. And you really only have a problem with it in premise it seems. Other than the fact that it's off-topic, it's good conversations (as Pwnage has pointed out). This forum would be boring if everyone just stuck to "I play SO." "I killed an SG and got a fedora." "I got a bunny hat." "Where do I find the bandits?" Blaaaaaaah... The forum would have died by now if that's all that was allowed.

Best part is, this was actually somewhat of an intelligent derailment.  As Pwnage put it, we aren't sitting here screaming "IT'S RAININ' MEN!"  We're actually discussing historical occurrences related to the stereotypes of race and job correlation.

Yes but this is out of hand. Once people start doing stuff like he is doing and not having any contact with the game at all, then whats the point of him being on a forum dedicated to a game in which he doesn't care about.
